lyrics
Walked down a road I barely know, felt like a runaway
People I’ve known, feelings I’ve shown, figments of memory
Blackest my soul, filling a hole, not that you’ll ever know
The truth wasn’t told, burden my soul, ruin is everything
Life put on hold, constant sorrow, they follow everyday
Be as it may, regardless of age, victims of honesty.
Fell asleep and hit the ground
What comes up must come down
This life is full of fallacies
The god of love is the god of rage
To be alone is to be myself.
The acid rain it calls my name
It burns my skin and keeps me safe
The alibi was full of lies
It fed the truth while the body died
The aches and pains, the scratching skin
Becomes the norm, begins again
Threat of fire, fear of death
Either way I’ve made my bed.
Our enemies are not what they seem
Its not alright, its not ok.
Of all the things that I have lost, I’ve lost my mind
It’s not ok, it’s not alright
The darkest days aren’t far behind
Let us prey.

For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
