lyrics
All around the fire, smoldering to sleep
I fall to false memory
Far across the ocean is where I should be
Chasing moments meant to be
Every waking minute, an entire waste of time
The will to forget and leave the world behind
I want to say I’ve lived a thousand lives before
That won’t fix the price I’ve paid for many more
So the aching spirit constant wonder why
Becomes inspiration then it dies
Exploring all the ways I wish to change
The meaning always goes away
Every waking minute a fucking waste of time
Burning the candle then you die
The final moments when you realize
Your time is up close your eyes
All I’ve done is wasted, curl up and hide
Leaving behind one thousand lives

For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor

This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
Texas band draft an all-killer, no-filler love letter to ’70s hard rock and metal, with surging vocals and riffs that command respect. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 4, 2024
